No. 365 HaBi-Patent-Aircraft (Junkers W-33)

"HaBi-Patent-Flieger No. 365" as visible from an 1937 invoice respectively "Flieger Nr. 36" as presented in a 1941 advert (see at bottom). So the No. 365 of this Junkers W-33 is the older Version.

The clockwork (made by GGN - Georg Grötsch, Nuremberg) rotates the propeller, moves (direction depending on the position of the tail wheel) and alters direction to the left or right caused by an additional wheel underneath the fuselage, which extracts and retracts with the rotation of the clockwork. The prop rotates to the left and the clockwork has NO start- / stop function!!!

History of this aircraft:

This aircraft was the first to cross the Atlantic from East to West. Just one year after Charles Lindbergh flew West - East the "BREMEN" took off on APR 12, 1928 in Baldonnel / Ireland. Pilot was Hermann Köhl, Co-Pilot James Fitzmaurice and attendant Günther von Hünefeld. They landed 36 hrs later on Greeny Island / Canada - missing their original destination New York by 900 KM (490 NM) - due to strong winds. The original is displayed today at the Bremen Airport / Germany.

Model seize: Wingspan 18 cm, Length 15 cm, Height 5 cm
