845-1 Excavator truck |
|||
|
|||
3-axle truck with excavator structure of the
745 - 1. The excavator was clockwork operated, the truck has no drive
- has to be pushed or pulled. The cabin was "half-sized" so
that the clam could be placed right side for
"road operation". Behind the cabin there is a support
construction where the boom could be laid on. On top of the truck cabin a
red flashlight
was installed - operated by a AAA-battery. The chassis of the truck was Orange
/ red,
the cabin was either Blue, Yellow or Orange. A barrel (as known from the
503)
was placed behind the cabin. If this truck
was as well available as 845 without flashlight on the cabin is yet
to my knowledge.
On this 1st version the blue
excavator has a red chassis. First appearance in price
lists 1959 - never mentioned as Novelty. Size: 400 x 135 x 160 mm |

845-2 Excavator truck with the multi-coloured excavator - description as above. Date of appearance / issue of the of the multi-coloured Excavator / truck is not verified - due to missing catalogues and price lists 1961 thru 1963 :-( |
|||
"How to handle..." | the stamp for the multi-coloured 845-1 | ||
|
|||
Underneath the cabin is an ball-shaped hook - to fix a ribbon to tow the truck. |
|||
855 Excavator truck |
|||
as described before, but instead of clockwork the excavator is now operated by a crank on the cabin's right side. Truck cabin without flashlight. The box in the background belongs to an excavator of the 860 series. First appearance in price lists 1959 - never mentioned as Novelty. |

Very interesting on this particular model is the fact, that it was offered in a south-west German Floor Auction in April 2005 - sold for 700 Euro plus auction fee. Later it was offered and sold in September 2007 in a Cologne Floor Auction - the price was 490.- Euro plus auction fee - and finally offered at eBay Germany in March 2008 - and sold for 323.- Euro. |
