This company was founded 1862 by Frederick August Otto
Schwarz, who, together with 3 brothers, emigrated in the 1850's from
Germany. The company is called "Schwarz' Toy
Bazar" and began with 2 shops at 9th
Street and at Broadway in New York. Feb 24th, 1931 the shop finally
moved to 745 Fifth Avenue - where it still can be found today.
